This 5 acre theme park project comprised of numerous ponds with aesthetically designed retaining walls. Prominent design challenge were foundation design, retaining walls that prevent slide of heavy rocks and soil erosion and recreation waterways.

Design Approach

 

We do Light frame wood/timber structures for single and multifamily homes, custom residential homes and commercial buildings. We ensure our designs withstand high pressure wind in Windstorm pronea areas.

 

Depening upon the licensed PE recommendations, we design the structure either bottom-up or top-down. Our typical requirements include location of the property, type of structure, beam and column arrangement, loads criteria and seismic.

For all US based projects our team references the IBC 2018, IRC 2018 building codes, ASCE 7-16, ACI-08, FEMA - 451, AISC 14th Ed

For existing structure upgrades we use International Existing Building Code (IEBC), 2015 Edition and the National Fire Protection Association 2012 101 Code for fire protection.

We further select the specific as per the building classification code, from the Groups A, B, E, F, I, M, R and S. We also keep in the design purpose and the current occupancy in mind.

We also keep the ADA Act code in reference for people with disabilities, when we design different category structures depending on the use.
